How NCC Chooses Endorsed Candidates
The 2026 election will turn on the difference between leaders who deliver results and leaders who block them -- and at NCC we back the builders. We look for candidates ready to act on the work this state can no longer put off.
Housing supply. We support candidates who will cut the red tape that drives up the cost of building homes at every income level, modernize CEQA, fund the infrastructure that makes new housing possible, and back the missing middle that working families need, including the townhomes that move families from renting to owning.
Delivering on solutions to the homelessness crisis and ending the era of encampments. We support candidates who will fully implement Proposition 1 and CARE Court, expand mental health and substance treatment capacity, and move people from the streets into care and stable housing.
Affordable and reliable water and energy. We support candidates who back an all of the above energy strategy, clear the path for water projects including the Delta Conveyance and underground storage, and treat reliable supply as the cost-of-living issue it really is. When water and energy get expensive, everything else does too.
Middle class jobs. We support candidates who will reinstate the Manufacturers Tax Credit, expand support for the industries that anchor the middle class, and reduce the costs that have made California one of the most expensive states for employers and workers.
